Your Office Fire Guide ‐Aberdeen Introduction
This document is to enable you to know the fire procedures for your office including the exit route and a summary of the fire risk for your office. Overall Lockton Fire Risk Management Summary – all offices The following controls and procedures are common to all Lockton offices. If you see something that looks wrong, broken, out of place or causes you to question fire safety please contact Facilities. Smoking, including Vaping, is not permitted within the Lockton Office and similarly not within the landlords building. No alteration works to any part of the Lockton premises that requires hot works, ie brazing, soldering, lead work, welding, gas torch cutting etc. without written pre authorisation from Lockton Facilities and from our Landlords. Portable heaters, electric or gas are not permitted. No flammable liquids or gases are to be stored on site. No fire doors are to be held open, unless they are fitted with automatic releases that operate in fire situations, particularly this means don’t wedge doors open. All fire alarm systems shall be appropriate maintained and tested All fire fighting equipment shall be appropriate maintained. All staff shall be made aware, via this document, of the fire regime for their building. Lockton will appoint and train fire wardens to assist in fire situations the effective evacuation of the Lockton office. Where associates may be less mobile a personal emergency evacuation plan (PEEP) shall be put in place with that associate.

Fire Instructions for Newcastle The Fire evacuation instructions for your building are below. Your evacuation plans are on the page following. Please do sound the alarm as your first action if you discover a fire. Don’t place yourself in danger by attempting to fight a fire. Go to and wait at your assembly point for instructions. Do not re‐enter the building until safe to do so.
In the event of Discovering a Fire Leave the building by the nearest exit Activate Fire Alarm during Exit from Building Call Fire Brigade once you are safely away from the Building Wait at the assembly point Follow the instructions of the fire warden
In the event the Fire Alarm Activates Leave the building by the nearest exit Do not stop to gather personal belongings Wait at the assembly point Follow the instruction of the Fire Warden
Do not attempt to re‐enter the building until it is safe to do so.

Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPS) These are to be specifically assessed and recorded when someone is expected to be on site who needs special assistance in the event of a fire alert, this may be physical limitations, or health limitations, either permanent or temporary. For instance someone who is unable to use the staircases to effect emergency exit without assistance or who may be considerably slower at using the stairs. A PEEP assessment must be requested, undertaken and recorded and a copy lodged with the landlord and the fire wardens alerted to the particular special assistance needed. Please contact Facilities for this to be completed.
